Perform to Outperform

In a nail biting finish, fluid blood emotions emoting raw talent, Consensio ’15-Perform to Outperform concluded on 23rd January 2015 on a note of hope , aspirations and learning from life of difficulties faced by differently abled children, importance of blood donation, necessities for knowing one’s own health through simple tests like blood sugar, ECG, eye check-up etc. 28 colleges from north east and rest of India took part with a footfall of 4000+!

Consensio 2015-The three day extravaganza was inaugurated by District Commissioner (Kamrup) Dr.A. Angamuthu,- RGI’s sixth edition of its annual techno-cultural festival. The other dignitaries present at the occasion were Sri Tarun Sakia, the first Assamese to climb Mount Everest. He expressed his gratitude for inviting him and shared his experiences so far. He also encouraged the Royalites to persue their dreams. Dhol Samrat Sri Somnath Bora Ojah also graced the occasion, entertaining the students with his extraordinary skills.

Consensio 2015 had the following event categories- PC Gaming, Civil Warz,Dirt Racing, Contruizon (events for engineering stream), Literarum (literary events), Consensio Idol ’15,Nrityakan, Adonis & Aphrodite(performing arts), Rangoli,Tatoo Making,Kai Po Se,Calligraphy(Fine Arts) and Best Manager, (events for business management stream).

Mr.Jyotirmoy Chakravarty, Police Commissioner-Guwahati, graced the much awaited prize distribution ceremony (held on the final day of Consensio 2015) as Chief Guest. He gave away prizes in various categories and being a cynosure of profuse learning and experience, stated that students in Assam must take active interest in learning about the police system functioning in the state and be an active member in the society. Interactive session between students and himself would enliven both with newer fresh ideas as well as bridge the generation gap. Traffic safety rules must be adhered to for better governance. He was elated to be at RGI and also stated that all were best even if they did not receive an award as an entire team works and some surges forth to achieve the best.

Star Cement , AVP, Mr.Pradeep Purohit, Supply Chain Management, stated that Star Cement was happy to be associated with RGI in Cultural events like Consensio or be it placements. The colourful mélange of students brings out the best in all around. He urged sall to best foot forward in all they do.

The much coveted awards for students as in Best Boy went to Mr.Tahzib Hussain, Anurag Dutta, Bhudev Paul and Atanu Bhattacharya. Best Girl went to Ms.Pooja Agarwal, Ms.Chetna Bantia, MsNilasri Saha and Nayanika Das.

Best Hosteller-Girls’- Ms.Parbati Gohain Baruah & Best Hosteller-Boys’-Jitendra Deka. Best Hostel Room(Harsha House) to Ms.Visa Vino Seleyi & Imjungbenla. Best Hostel Room (Aditya House) went to Mr.Subham Poddar & Arun Bukalsaria. Best Sportsman was Mr.Kailash Gogoi & Best Sportswoman was Parbati Gohain Baruah.

RGI Appreciation award was given to Mr.Ramessh Agarwal, Mr.Zahir Uddin Ahmed, Ms.Dipa Saha, Ms.Anjali Goswami, Mr.Ajay Doley, Mr.Neeraj Chetri. Best Laboratory Instructor Mr.Apurba Kalita, Best Technical Mr.Azizur Rahman.

Best Grade IV Mr.Jitumoni Deka, Best Security Supervisor Mr.Tiken Daimary, Best Security Guard Mr.Dibyajyoti Chutia, Best House Keeping staff Mr.Pranjal Deka, Best Driver Mr.Jitu Deka, Best Helper Mr.Jhon Moni Gaur and Best Cafeteria staff Ms.Maynashree Sutradhar.

Award for Outstanding Performance in Administration was given to Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma.

Perpetuity in Excellence were given to Mr.Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Mr.Amit Mandal and Ms.Pahi B Dutta.

The Best Faculty Award(s) went to Mr. Zunaid Ahmed, Dr.Devika Phukan and Ms.Nandini Borah.

The Best Faculty for Perpetual Excellence went to Mr.Saugat Das, Mr.Srawan Kumar Goenka and Ms.Anita P.Y.

100% class attendance went to Sidhant Bagaria, Puja Agarwal and Rahul Dugar from Royal School of Business.

100% class attendance went to Masum Laskar, Utpal Das and Agnijita Chakravarty from Royal School of Engineering & Technology.

The day saw great response with participants participating from various colleges namely IBS-Hydrabad, B.M.B.B.Commerce college, NITS Mirza, IIT-G, Gauhati University, B.Booroah College, AEC, WGCC, GCA, GIMT,Srimanta Sankar Academy,Cotton College,Assam Down Town University, Mizoram University,Lalit Chandra Bharali College,Pachim Kamrup College, Sabdampa School and RGI.

The night on 23th January 2015 was treated to the pulsating and rhyming music of Zubeen Garg, The Numero Uno singer of Assam, all coming together for the pulsating music, letting free spirits mingle as one.
